Removing the CPU to clean the cooling system, and then remounting it with proper heatsink compound properly applied might be part of the solution. I could not do this of course because the computer freezes if I run the computer in normal mode. I there a way I could switch to a new hard drive without reinstalling everything? Despite what you may think, replacing a laptop hard drive is even easier than replacing a desktop hard drive. Ive got 4 memory sticks, 2gb each. This is a problem Ive had for quite a while now.
