I think that its the SVCHOST issue but I cant find a great site / video on how to delete it. For some, the disk check could take up to sic hours, for others, it could be one to two hours or just thirty minutes. Eventually it came back with this message: "Windows could not search for updates. I can only assume that you already did this but a computer that is infected with viruses and/or spyware can exhibit this type of behavior. However, CPU usage can sometimes go out of control because of a bug in a process, such as the infamous WmiPrvSE.exe. I don't know what is the problem.
