Make the CD drive the 1st boot device and it should work. You can check whether you have one of these disks by booting with a DOS floppy and writing to the last sector with a hex editor. You must reinstall drivers for this hardware after reinstalling the operating system. Do you know any helpful sites out there that really explain this to me well, so that I can flash my bios easily? Let's say you choose a floppy disk. If not, STOP and delete that pgm.
For me, the solution that worked was also pointed out in the same thread, entering the command dban nousb at the DBAN boot: prompt. Will using DBAN help me or will it somehow not do anything to the size of the hard drive?
