Getting the purple screen sometimes.... I tried the nomodeset thing and its not working anymore. No luck. well i just get the blue screen before windows loads. Eventually the hard disk could not be recognized in bios settings and had to replace it. I feel bad for those here who did this and now their mostly just stuck with a looping PC.

With no other option available, I did a hard reset. I was installing the setup disc for a new wireless router when this started. My laptop seems to be a lot cooler than it used to run. Just an idea before you go buy a new HD.
