So i liked trend micros interface better and the scan options and i felt my computer was more secure after switching over. It is not, nor ever has been, an antivirus program.Other then that, I agree.OP:Try the free ways first. 99.9% of the time, they work. You don't even know what virus it is so that whole entire argument of "my one program beats out your multiple free ones with multiple different detection methods and virus dictionaries" Check out Antec's especially.
But it (once again) shut down once last week so I'll try the Bios fix. Such dust layers are able to insulate the CPU, and cause its temperature to increase dramatically... I haven't used it enough to see how it works but I suspect there may well be other issues affecting the laptop speed regardless of the spyware/virus issues I had/have. Ask a question and give support.
Advertisement Wackster71 Thread Starter Joined: May 28, 2007 Messages: 12 Hiya all, long time reader, first time poster When ever I try to do a virus scan of late my system I have tried serval removal tools for virus and I seem to get loads of pops all of a sudden. It could also be a worm, however, this is very unlikely as worms are not that common these days unless you have no type of firewall up or AV up. It would shut down part way into the scan.
Register now! can anyone assist....................... It shows no signs of power. It scans for detections right from the CD in a linux distro.
Please note, that this program will not unhide removable drives like flash cards and usb drives as the FakeHDD rogues do not target these types of drives. I don't see how norton is any better "IN THIS CASE" than any other "rescue cd" as thats basically what nortons cd is.
