Various files were missing… scoured through various inf's from the TV tuner driver and WIn2008, then, copied them over from Vista. Windows Xp Freezes After A Few Minutes
Once I have this sorted I'll permanently delete AVG - what a load of crap!! I could I suppose have the VM log into the 2008 Server to access the files on its drive. I was not able to get Java to actually work. Based on the results and my investigation over the last three days, I think the problem seemed clearly created by Norton updates.
It could be from the following: 1. So then I used the SENDTO function, with the MOVE option to move it back to C:\ drive...the prompt came up... The world plays on a MAC and works on a PC. And it uses about 1/3 the memory of Vista out of the box.

Soooo tired of Chkdsk...especially since it doesn't fix it!! Check disk is not showing corrupt files. Lighten up, it's going to take a while. I've used Leopard and came back to Vista simply because it wasn't powerful enough for my needs. This one you can set up to run lightly in the background per the folders you choose.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 running Windows XP with 2GB ram memory and 80GB hard disc and 40 percent free space. COD4, MOHA, Bioshock, Crysis, UT3, Q4, D3 etc etc all work great. Have a great long weekend.

I just bought one of the cheap USB external drives and used that. PWZ P?T MSO PIF . I'm not convinced I want to do this yet, but do you see any flies in the ointment with this plan? I am using clamwin anti-virus.
